Why Ophiuchus Can?T Be a Zodiac Signs?

The movement of the zodiac is well known to astrologers: it is called Precession. The actual constellations have moved – this is true, and the new positions of the stars are what are used in Vedic (Indian) Astrology, also called Sidereal Astrology. However, there is no 13th sign in Vedic or Western, regardless of whether the signs are Sidereal (literal) or Tropical (symbolic).

Everyone knows about the 12 signs of the zodiac. These 12 signs are the path the sun takes throughout the year across the sky. The moon and other planets are also included within the zodiac system. Ophiuchus was recognized as a part of the zodiac by the International Astronomical Union in 1930, during the time when International Astronomical Union set the official constellation boundaries.  But it was denied by all astrologers at that time.

Again Astronomer Parke Kunkle claimed individuals’ astrological signs may be different than previously thought because of changes in the Earth’s alignment. Astronomer said that the position of the Earth in relation to the Sun has changed from 3,000 years ago, when astrological studies began and Zodiac signs were allocated.

Why Ophiuchus can’t be a zodiac signs?

The catholics didn’t like the number 13 and thought it was evil. Only 1% of Western Astrologers accepts Ophiuchus. This is completely declined by all the Indian Astrologers. Because they believe some limitation is defined for zodiac sign, to be a zodiac sign.  If it does not satisfy one limitation among all then it can’t be a Zodiac Sign.  

·         Ophiuchus does not have the spark quality. The sign should be bright to be a Zodiac signs.

·         In astrology, the zodiac denotes those signs that divide the ecliptic into twelve equal zones of celestial longitude.  Like Aries makes longitude angle zero degree, Taurus 30 degree, Gemini 60 degree and so on. Ophiuchus does not follow this rule.

So, there is no need to worry of changing zodiac sign.

Characteristics of the Sun Signs: The Elements

Each sun sign is assigned one of the principle elements of nature. These are:

Fire- These signs tend to be lively, impetuous, aggressive, bright, and enthusiastic. They are self sufficient and can become forceful and demanding with those around them.
Air – These signs have quick minds and are gifted in abstract concepts, communications, reasoning and intellect. They express themselves well and demonstrate good logic reasoning. They can sometimes be cold and impractical.
Earth- These signs are matter of fact and controlled. The earth is solid matter. It is stable and can be built upon.
Water- Sensitive and intuitive, these signs have deep emotional feelings. They are receptive and in tune with the environment, in which they live, like a flowing water current.

There are three zodiac signs for each element:

·         Fire Signs are Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

·         Air Signs are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.

·         Earth Signs are Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.

·         Water Signs are Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

Characteristics of the Sun Signs: The Qualities

Each sign has a quality assigned to it. The qualities are:

Cardinal - initiative, movement, vitality
Fixed- steadfastness, stability, earthiness
Mutable- adaptable to changes in life, capable of guiding and influencing circumstances

Cardinal Signsare Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.

Fixed Signs are Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, and Scorpio.

Mutable Signs are Gemini, Virgo, Pisces, and Sagittarius.
